Dr Gee Teak Sheng completed his M.D. from Universiti Putra Malaysia. 
He started his medical career in Hospital Ipoh on July 2003 and did his internship rotations in General Surgery, Pediatric and Obstetric&Gynecology. 

He was medical officer in Hospital Ipoh (Department of Medicine, Department of Orthopedic and subsequently Department of Neurosurgery ) and Hospital Taiping (Department of General Surgery).
He began his Master of Surgery (Neurosurgery) training on June 2007 in Universiti Sains Malaysia, under the guidance of Prof Dato Jafri Malim Abdullah. This is a WFNS (World Federation of Neurosurgery) approved center. 
He served as neurosurgery residents in Hospital Kuala Lumpur and Hospital Sungai Buloh and was elected as Chief Registrar in Hospital USM during his residency years there.

Upon completion of his Neurosurgery training on June 2011, he served as Neurosurgeon in the prestige Brain Suite equipped Hospital Sungai Buloh, where he had published an article regarding this advance technology in neurosurgery.

Since Aug 2014 he served as neurosurgeon in Penang General Hospital (PGH). At PGH he run neurosurgery and spine surgery clinic and services which included surgery and pain intervention services such as nerve and ganglion blocks and Radiofrequency therapy.

Subsequently, he Joined Pantai Hospital Penang on 2nd Oct 2017, and continued his neurosurgery, spine and pain services there.

In term of further learning, Dr Gee had completed his attachment with Spine UKM dating Aug 2015 – Aug 2016 and he did his fellowship in Instituto Clavel & Barcelona Spine Center, Hospital Quironsalud Barcelona, Spain in 2016 and Asahikawa Redcross Hospital, Japan in 2017.

Dr Gee experience in treating head injury patient earn him an invitation to be one of author for the FIRST head injury CPG (Clinical Practice Guideline) for Malaysia which was published in 2015.  

He is also very active in academic and research activity, being in the editorial board for Austin Pediatric oncology since 2015 (http://austinpublishinggroup.com/pediatric-oncology/editorialBoard.php) and

EC Pediatric. He is also an invited reviewer for multiple journals.
Dr Gee had multiple publications to his name and he was invited speaker for multiple local and international conferences.

His active, outgoing, caring and friendly nature had bring him into many voluntary and nonprofit activities such as giving informative heath talks and participation in health campaigns as well.

In short, Dr Gee Teak Sheng is an active and warm person with a friendly nature who is easy with people .
