Dr. Tan Jiunn Liang M.D., M.Med (IntMed), FAPSR
A graduate of University Putra Malaysia (UPM) and University of Malaya, Dr. Tan Jiunn Liang is currently a clinical specialist in Respiratory Medicine in University of Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC), Kuala Lumpur. Before joining UMMC he started his medical career in Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan, Kuantan. He recently completed his fellowship in Respirology in 2018.
Dr. Tan is an active clinical researcher, having completed several studies including SCENT Study (Lung Cancer screening), Pneumonia Admission Audit, Latent TB study, ALK (IHC) study, FLASH study (COPD) and Severe Asthma study in the last few years with several other ongoing studies. His keen interest in Respirology has seen him win several awards; APSR-IASLC Prize at the 20th Congress of the Asia Pacific Society of Respirology, Young Investigator Award for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) Asia Pacific Lung Cancer Conference and First Prize, Oral Free Paper Presentation, Malaysian Thoracic Society Annual Scientific Meeting.
Special interest in lung cancer, interstitial lung disease and obstructive airway disease (asthma, COPD etc).
