Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon

I am a senior orthopaedic surgeon with special interest in joint disease and joint surgery. I do mainly arthroscopic surgery and joint replacement surgery of hip, knee shoulder and ankle, plus biological stimulation for cartilage wear and damage.

I am a Past President of the Malaysian Orthopaedic Association (2013-14), besides being a member, fellow, or office bearer of the Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association, International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Malaysian Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, Malaysian Arthroscopy Society, Malaysian Sports Medicine Association, and Malaysian Association for the Study of Pain.

I graduated in Ireland, and worked in Ireland and the UK, with short educational stints in Canada, USA, and S Korea. I was a lecturer in orthopaedic surgery with the National University of Malaysia (UKM) and have been in private orthopaedic practice with a special interest in joint surgery since 1999.  I also have a fairly active medicolegal practice, as an orthopaedic expert witness both locally and internationally.
