Mr. Lim Kang Kai is a board certified and fellowship-trained Spine Surgeon.
He qualified from International Medical University in 2008 and completed his Orthopaedic training in the National University of Malaysia. He has undertaken adult and paediatric spine fellowships in Gangnam Severance Spine Hospital in Seoul, Korea and Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in Dublin, Ireland. During his fellowship training he received extensive exposure in navigation and robotic spine surgeries as well as mixed reality and augmented reality technologies.
He served as an Orthopaedic Honorary Lecturer for the Management and Science University (MSU) from 2017 to 2019. He is a member of the Malaysian Orthopaedic Association, Malaysian Spine Society, Asia Pacific Spine Society, and AOSpine.
He had the experience of serving in the country’s largest and busiest tertiary referral hospitals, namely Hospital Kuala Lumpur, Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Klang, and Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun Ipoh.
He deals with musculoskeletal injuries and has special clinical interests in spinal trauma, degenerative spine disease, spine tumours, and spinal deformity.
