Dr Goh Eng Leong is a Resident Consultant Cardiologist at Loh Guan Lye Specialists Centre in Penang, Malaysia. He obtained his medical degree from the National University of Malaysia and his master degree in internal medicine (MMed) from National University of Singapore. He subsequently did his cardiology fellowship at Cardiology Department of Penang Hospital. He also pursued his interventional cardiology training at Mater Hospital, Dublin, Ireland.
Dr Goh Eng Leong is a member of the Royal College of Physicians of United Kingdom (MRCP) and a Fellow of the National Heart Association of Malaysia (FNHAM). He is also a member of Academy of Malaysia. He is a National Specialists Registry (NSR) certified Interventional Cardiologist.
Dr Goh Eng Leong is the President of Penang CPR Society since 2002 till now. He is Past Chairman of Malaysia Medical Association (Penang Branch). Dr Goh Eng Leong is very active in promoting medical education. He is the course director for Penang Cardiovascular Conference(PCC) and Complex Cardiovascular Intervention (CCI). He is also an adjunct senior lecturer in Penang Medical College. He has delivered lectures, moderated and organized workshops, seminars and conferences on various topics in Cardiology. He is the advisor in Malaysia Stroke Prevention In Atrial Fibrillation (SPAF) Advisory Board. He was the faculty in TCT Asia Pacific in 2018.
His main interest is in clinical cardiology and interventional cardiology. He has been involved as an investigator in many clinical trials.
Dr Goh Eng Leong joins LOH GUAN LYE Specialists Centre as Consultant Cardilogist since 2004. He provides various cardiac treatment, including non invasive ( stress test, ECG. Echocardiography, Holter) and invasive (coronary angiogram and percutaneous coronary intervention). Currently he is head of cardiac unit in Loh Guan Lye Specialists Centre.
